                Fluorescent bulb recycling --  4ft bulbs (T-6 and T-12), compacts (CFL 2 pin, 4 pin and spiral) accepted.  Limit of 10 bulbs per vehicle per
                                                         day.  Bulbs will be accepted during normal business hours for the Center.

Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off all non-essential lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global climate change.  At 8pm March 29, 2008, millions of people in some of the world’s major capital cities, including Copenhagen, Toronto, Atlanta, Chicago, Melbourne, Brisbane and Tel Aviv will unite and switch off for Earth Hour.

You are invited to bring any old, unusable items to the City of Roswell Public Works building on Hembree Road and dispose of it for free!  Examples of items accepted:  old appliances, tires (limit of4 regular car tires per vehicle), furniture, toys, etc.  Items not accepted include any and all liquids (paint, oil, gas, etc), yard waste and demolition/construction materials).
Join Harry’s Farmers Market, Keep Roswell Beautiful and the City of Roswell in a fun, interactive workshop about water conservation.  Learn easy things that you and your family can do to help conserve water.  Each participant will make a rain gauge to take home with them and get a coloring book with tips on water conservation.   Limit of 20 children to the class
Are old tennis/athletic shoes piling up in your closet?  Harry’s Farmers Market is taking part in the Nike ReUse-A-Shoe month this May.  You can drop off your old shoes between May 1 and May 28 and Keep Roswell Beautiful will pick up the shoes from Harry’s Farmers Market and take them to NikeTown where they will be sent to be recycled and made into the padding that goes under gym floors!  Athletic and tennis shoes only, please.  Make this part of your Spring cleaning this year.
