Keep Roswell Beautiful's Earth Balloon Travels to Winning Waters Festival
Keep Roswell Beautiful's Earth Balloon was a big star at Georgia Southern University's Winning Water: The 2008 Children's Water Festival, held in Statesboro in March. 800 fourth graders from the Ogeechee River basin area attended the event.
The festival, sponsored by Keep Georgia Beautiful, the city of Savannah, Georgia Power and GSU, was designed to teach youth about the various important facets of water and water use.
Keep Roswell Beautiful's Executive Director Janet Liberman and City of Roswell's Laura Aiken made the trip to south Georgia with the only Earth Balloon in the Southeast United States.
